I have spent a lot of time trying to get everything aligned, but it’s not as easy as it seems. The saying “measure twice, cut once” doesn’t apply here. I think I have everything in the right place, but then I measure again and find something is off. I’ve done this more than twice, I assure you!
I’m finally putting the stringers and keel supports on. This process isn’t straightforward for me. As I mentioned to a fellow builder, I’m still ‘figuring out my aft from my elbow.’ Working in a tent has been challenging due to limited space, which makes everything take longer. Thankfully, I’m getting a lot of help from fellow builders and blogs, which is great.
Here are some pictures showing where I am in the process. I’ve noted in my timeline that I’m progressing more slowly than expected since I enjoy many other activities. However, I’m taking one step at a time, and so far, those steps are moving forward, so everything is good.
