I thought I would just give a quick update on the build site.

As you know from my previous blog I had finally made the decision to build in my front garden. The rockery was doomed! This would have been tight for space and would have taken a lot of ground leveling. However, our dear friends Margaret and Stuart have come to the rescue of the rockery and have offered a very substantial part of their back garden to set up a workshop. It will still be the same idea, wooden base and industrial tent, but with more space and access.(Edit: Plan as changed again. The boat is now going to be built in my back garden. I have had a few quotes for a crane to lift it out over the house when the boat is finished. It turns out not too bad and it can be done. It will be better being closer to the boat rather than travel as I need to be close to YouTube and all the 5.80 blogs šŸ˜‰ ) So I start the groundworks after I return from my Day Skipper course in the middle of March and begin the build on 01/04/25. The date was not chosen for its notable celebration of the fool šŸ™‚

The Rockery thanks you both, Stuart & Mags, and owes you both a few glasses of something strong šŸ˜ŠšŸ„‚šŸ„ƒ

The garden is happy to save your rockery. I’m happy to have less grass to cut!
