At the start of this venture, I called the whole project ‘Broken Wings.’ This felt like the right name for various reasons. It was maybe about feeling a bit older, a bit injured, and sometimes just feeling the wear and tear that life can cause as we go along our way. It was also about hope and healing and not giving up! However, I never thought this would be the name of the boat. I always thought it would come to me as I was building the boat, like others have said. Many names have come and gone, but one has remained constant. The name is very special to me for personal reasons that I won’t share here. It is a name that will give me a strong connection to the boat and make her more than the sum of her parts. The name, Robin Goch!
