I have said this many times before, but the builders’ blogs are invaluable. I am just going through dry fixing frames, and then I am going to do an introductory course in epoxy before I finally complete the frames and hang them on the jig (still to be built). While I am doing this, I am relying heavily on those who have gone before in this build process and also asking fellow builders for advice. I said when I started this, ‘I would find out what I don’t know, and what I don’t understand, I will ask’; I fully intend to do this. Along the way, I have come across things that are really useful that I would never have thought of. The following is an example.

Kitchen cupboard blocks! Yes, I saw this on Keith Oliver (HullNo170) blog. It’s a great way to keep these often unruly parts in place while taking measurements and generally just keeping them in place whilst working to put them together. Who would have thought? Well, not me, so thanks, Keith.
